The No. 20 Oregon defeated No. 12 USC 41-27 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Saturday night, extending its winning streak over the Trojans to five games. The victory also gave Dan Lanning his third straight win against USC.

Additionally, Lanning had plenty to celebrate after Oregon handed USC another rivalry loss, but the Ducks coach still found time for one final jab at the Trojans.
As he wrapped up his postgame press conference, he was asked about Oregon’s growing influence in the West Coast recruiting battle. His response quickly turned into a shot at USC, with pop star Chris Brown caught in the crossfire.

“Three wins against these guys,” he said. “I guess if you’re interested in winning football games and you’re from this area, you should go to Oregon. If you want to go to a Chris Brown concert, you should go here.”
The pointed reaction capped a night in which Oregon overcame an early setback when starting quarterback Dante Moore left after taking a targeting hit. Backup Dylan Raiola stepped in and helped keep the Ducks’ offense rolling, throwing for 289 yards and two touchdowns as Oregon finished with 504 total yards.
Lanning had another message for USC earlier in the press conference when discussing the Coliseum crowd. He suggested the venue only seems to fill up when Oregon comes to town.
“I’ve watched three of their TV games,” Lanning said. “I haven’t seen a game packed yet, but when we were here, it was packed tonight. So I guess when the Ducks show up, that’s how you fill up the Coliseum.”
