Rams WR Puka Nacua to be game-time decision but trending 'wrong way'

· Yahoo Sports

The Los Angeles Rams could be without two of their top four receivers against the New York Giants on Monday night. With Jordan Whittington already doubtful to play, Puka Nacua is also questionable due to a hip injury that popped up during the past week of practice.

Nacua missed Friday and Saturday’s practices and though he still has a chance to play, it’s not looking great. Adam Schefter of ESPN reported on Sunday that Nacua is considered a game-time decision.

Additionally, Schefter said on “Sunday NFL Countdown” that Nacua is trending the “wrong way.” Sean McVay said it’s not the same psoas injury that kept Nacua on the sidelines multiple weeks before the season, so it’s something new for the Rams receiver.

Nacua is the Rams’ top wideout but if he’s out, Davante Adams would become the No. 1 target for Matthew Stafford. Konata Mumpfield, Xavier Smith and CJ Daniels could also see increased opportunities.

The Rams host the Giants on Monday night at 8:15 p.m. ET.
