Falcons running back Bijan Robinson has agreed to a 3-year contract extension, worth up to 75 million with incentives, and 51 million guaranteed, making him the NFL’s highest paid running back.
Robinson led the NFL last season with 2,298 yards from scrimmage and 11 touchdowns. Robinson is preparing for his fourth NFL season. He was the eighth overall pick in the 2023 Draft coming out of Texas.
“Very excited for him, excited for us. It’s just new throughout this whole process that it would be a process and felt good about where we were,” said Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski.
In other Falcons’ news, Former Georgia Bulldog and second year edge rusher Jalon Walker suffered an injury at practice. The fear is that he tore his ACL and will undergo an MRI to confirm the extent of his injury.
It happened during an 11 on 11, two-minute drill period in Tuesday’s practice. The Georgia product had 36 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and nine quarterback hits last season.
