Welcome to Tuesday, Bulldog fans! I admit the enthusiasm for attacking this day is lacking, likely the lingering effects of losing to an average Auburn team missing it’s best defender. The reasons for that loss are plain to see: giving the Barners 3 free possessions, extending their drives with huge chunk 15 yard penalties, and most importantly just not executing a game plan as well as they did.

But this is ‘Dawg Bites, news and notes about your Georgia Bulldogs, not deep cut game analysis. Plus you’re probably as sick of reliving Saturday afternoon as I am. So let’s see what we can dig up to discuss:

Fresh on the heels of do-everything Braylon Miller committing to the “G” this weekend, Bulldog DL Coach Tray Scott picked up his own good news. Forsyth, GA native and current Northwest Mississippi CC defensive lineman Christian Mays announced he was decommiting from Tennessee and coming home.

No Monday Kirby Smart press conference because of the off-week, so there’s very little news from the football offices. One can imagine what practice is like on Bloody Tuesday. Perhaps not quite so severe, based on the injuries piling up faster than Auburn students retracting their transfer applications to Grand Canyon University.

So we turn Beyond The Hedges, to the pitch, as the Women’s Soccer team finished the regular season home schedule with a much needed win against Missouri.

The Volleyball team visited Red Stick, and came away with a 5 set victory. The Spike Dawgs are 6-1 in conference, and 14-3 overall, and positioning themselves for a post-season run.

Let’s play 2 (times the normal amount of innings)! . The Georgia baseball team faced Clemson in a fall exhibition Sunday at Foley Field, and ground the visiting Tigers 16-4 over the 18 inning scrimmage. At least some Bulldogs defeated Tigers clad in orange in Athens this weekend.

Women’s Tennis are finishing up a tournament in Quebec before returning to the Empire State of the South, the Men’s Golf team are concluding a tourney in Mississippi, while the Women’s Golf Team are starting an event in Tulsa.

Maybe following one of these teams can distract you from the matzah ball hanging over our collective memories of Saturday. Yet and still, it’s always a great day to be a Georgia Bulldog. So use the off week to start hating Gators early. And as always…

GO ‘DAWGS!!!
