Hubbard represents Benton in Class 3 tournament

Senior Kyndall Hubbard sits in seventh place after a day of play at the Class 3 state tournament.

Hubbard is making her second career appearance at state, after securing a top-40 finish in last year's Class 2 tournament as a sophomore.

In Hubbard's opening round of play at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club she carded an 82 and sits within the top-10 in seventh place. She sits only four strokes out of the top-3 going into the final day of play.

The final round of the Class 3 state tournament tees off on Tuesday at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club in New Bloomfield.

Two St. Joseph Christian golfers make state debut

Senior Wendy Childs and junior Avery Hollars made their debuts at the Class1 state golf tournament on Monday.

Childs shot a career best 100 to qualify for, and added another strong performance in the opening round of state with a 114. Hollars became the second member of her family to compete in the state golf tournament, following in the footsteps of her sister Kloey, a 2026 graduate of St. Joseph Christian who qualified and competed twice. Hollars followed right behind Childs with a score of 115 after a day of play.

Childs and Hollars will play their final round at state on Tuesday at Paradise Pointe golf course in Smithville.
