Good news for fans of fun. Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase had his fines from Week 2 rescinded by the NFL.

Chase had two fines from that game, while Tee Higgins had four. There is still no word on Higgins’ fines being changed in any way, yet.
The duo has claimed the celebration is a combination of ‘the people’s elbow’ — a move performed by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as a professional wrestler as well as the first down signal.
I think it is clear what most people, and the league, saw when it was performed.
The NFL came down hard with multiple fines for each player, but there was always a very good excuse for these two against how much they were fined, or for even being fined at all.
Higgins did the celebration multiple times in Week 1, and yet he was not hit with a fine or a warning. Chase failed to pull off the celebration, but as far as they were concerned, it clearly was okay if the league didn’t do anything.
This really stems from Chase making one of the most ridiculous catches you will ever see and then pulling out the celebration. That caught the attention of everyone and the league, and needless to say it was taken to mean something different than Higgins and Chase allege.
For now, it seems the celebration will be shelved, but there is a sense of justice for at least Chase so far. Maybe the league will flop out a residency for Higgins soon as well.
#Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase won appeals of fines for his “people’s elbow” celebration, as two fines of $14,926 were rescinded from the #Texans game.
