Three-star cornerback Nash Johnson II has flipped his commitment from Auburn to Georgia, according to Hayes Fawcett of Rivals. He had been committed to Auburn since May 31, 2026, but the Bulldogs never stopped recruiting the Powder Springs, Georgia product.
Johnson is ranked as the No. 550 overall player and No. 59 cornerback in the Rivals industry ranking. He is also the No. 65 player from Georgia. This is his third commitment, with him making an early commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide before he reopened his recruitment after more schools became involved.
While the loss stings, Auburn's 2027 recruiting class is still strong, especially at cornerback. The Tigers have two four-star cornerback commits in Chance Gilbert and Aidyn Wiggins, with Gilbert being the No. 62 overall player and Auburn's highest-ranked commit.
The Tigers have 24 commits in total, with Rivals ranking the class as the 12th best in the country and the 6th best in the SEC. Johnson is their fifth decommitment as Alex Golesh builds his first full recruiting class as Auburn's head coach.
