Harry Kane thinks Bayern Munich’s mistakes were punished against Augsburg
· Yahoo Sports
Bayern Munich faced their Bavarian neighbors FC Augsburg away and drew 2-2. Augsburg continues to be Bayern’s bogey team, and with multiple errors and unfortunate circumstances, Bayern could only manage to take one point home. There were four offsides with three goals disallowed in this game alone. However, Harry Kane believes that the loss did not simply boil down to a few unfortunate offsides.
In a postgame interview, Kane said that on another day Bayern could have definitely won the game.

“We hit the post, scored many offside goals. I think on another day we definitely win this game,” he said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
“Our mistakes were punished,” he emphasized. There were multiple defending errors from Bayern in this game that led to the two goals they conceded. After an uncharacteristically poor first half, especially from star players like Luis Díaz, Bayern managed to pick themselves back up, but it simply was not enough.
“We were much better in the second half – on another day we win this game and score 5-6 goals. But that’s football. We take the point and move on,” Kane stated.
Certainly this game did no favors to Kane either, who has had a surprisingly quiet season so far. Tonight was no exception. The Ballon d’Or contender may be crucial to the team even when he does not score, but it is noteworthy that he currently lags behind six other players in the top goalscorers list (including Michael Olise). Perhaps, the rest of the season will be different and we will get to see yet another jaw-dropping season from the English talisman.
