Austin Siereveld among notable Ohio State football absences for Maryland game
· Yahoo Sports
Ohio State will be without starting offensive lineman Austin Siereveld for its homecoming game against Maryland on Oct. 10.
Siereveld was a late addition to the Buckeyes’ availability report. He had not been included this week, but appeared on the final report released two hours ahead of kickoff against the Terrapins.

The absence of Siereveld leaves Ohio State shorthanded on its offensive line, as Siereveld had moved over from right guard to right tackle to replace Phillip Daniels for the past three games. Daniels, who went down with an unspecified injury at Texas, will miss his fourth straight game.
When Siereveld moved over to right tackle, Gabe VanSickle stepped in at right guard.
The Terrapins are winless through two Big Ten games, but have one of the conference's best pass rushes. Their 14 sacks were third in the conference through Week 5.
At least two other starters will unavailable against Maryland as slot receiver Brandon Inniss and linebacker Christian Alliegro were also listed as out on the pregame availability report. Both had been doubtful on Oct. 9.
Freshmen wide receivers Brock Boyd and Chris Henry Jr. are likely to see larger roles at wide receiver against the Terrapins with Inniss sidelined.
The Buckeyes could also be missing Devin McCuin, who was listed as a game-time decision. McCuin and Inniss have been the leading receivers behind star Jeremiah Smith.
Jay Timmons, the starting nickel back who left early in the third quarter against Illinois, was also a game-time decision for the second straight week. Timmons was ultimately held out last week at Iowa after he went through early warmups.
