Unfortunately for the Ravens, it's thanks to one major injury issue that's finally been confirmed. Lamar Jackson, the Ravens' MVP QB, is banged up.
Head coach Jesse Minter told Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic and other reporters Friday that Jackson is, in fact, going to be out for Week 5. Tyler Huntley will get the start in primetime, as the Ravens will be down Jackson in Week 5.
Lamar Jackson officially ruled out by Ravens for Falcons matchup
"Jesse Minter ruled Lamar Jackson out for Sunday's game in Atlanta," Zrebiec reported Friday from Minter's press conference.
This update is not a huge surprise, as Jackson hadn't practiced all week. Despite Minter seemingly leaving the door open to a return this weekend for Jackson, all of the signs were pointing towards him being inactive.
With the Ravens' head coach confirming this news on Friday, the Falcons will now get to face Huntley, a former Pro Bowl backup quarterback who's shown some potential here and there filling in for Jackson over the years.

With the 3-1 Ravens tied atop the AFC North with the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore will try to keep pace with the unexpected contending Browns without their QB1.
Cleveland, meanwhile, faces a New York Jets team dealing with plenty of injury issues of their own. So, it's well within the realm of possibility for the Ravens to be 3-2, and the Browns to be 4-1 after Week 5, thanks in large part to Jackson's injury.
Derrick Henry is going to get the ball a lot with Huntley in the game, and against a Falcons defense that's had their ups and downs, it's imperative for Baltimore that their run game gets going.
With Jackson out for Week 5, the question now will be whether he's able to suit up in Week 6 or not. It's too soon to tell, but the lack of any practice this week doesn't exactly bode well for Jackson going forward.
