Here’s a roundup of 2026 Week 7 high school football games involving Treasure Coast teams played Thursday, Oct. 1, and Friday, Oct. 2.

Eleven games were originally scheduled for this week. Most of the action took place locally, with 10 area teams slated to host games.

Friday

Vero Beach 24, Mainland 22

For only the second time this season, Vero Beach faced a halftime deficit. But as has been the case four previous times during the 2026 regular season, Vero walked out of the Citrus Bowl with a victory.

Vero built enough of a cushion to hold off the Buccaneers.

"It was a lot of back-and-forth play," Vero Beach head coach Lenny Jankowski said. "Mainland is a very talented football team and is well coached. (Buccaneers head coach Jerrime Bell) is doing a great job, but it was just one of those games where we were able to capitalize and were very opportunistic in the second half."

The hosts trailed 15-8 through three quarters, but a 54-yard touchdown pass from Makai White to Latravious Woods tied the game in the fourth. White unofficially finished 12 of 17 passing for 140 yards.

Dontallis Render got Vero the ball right back as his interception at the line of scrimmage led to a go-ahead 25-yard field goal by Snyder Arbelaez.

On the ensuing kickoff, Frantz Brifil accounted for one of the best plays of the night, sprinting down the sideline to recover a live ball before it went out of bounds. Later, Jayden Lockhart powered his way across the goal line on fourth down for his second touchdown of the night.

After Mainland scored with less than two minutes remaining, Lockhart put the game on ice by picking up a first down on a third-down rush, allowing the home team to run out the clock. It was similar to how Lockhart closed out Fort Pierce Central the week before.

Vero Beach will return to the Citrus Bowl next week to host Pahokee.

John Carroll Catholic 39, Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy 14

Rams head coach Mickey Groody had a sense of déjà vu when he talked to his assistant coaches early in the third quarter Friday night. His team's home victory over the Tigers mirrored its road win against the same opponent last season: It raced out to a large lead, surrendered some points in the second half and still won comfortably.

"I said to them, 'This is crazy, this is exactly what happened,'" Groody said.

Unlike last year's game, John Carroll did not eclipse 500 yards of total offense. But as an encore, the Rams finished just 26 yards shy of that mark.

Carter Cullen put up the team's biggest numbers. The junior quarterback went 14 of 24 passing for 329 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. His favorite target was Kameron Barber, who had five receptions for 184 yards and touchdowns of 68, 15 and 80 yards.

Elsewhere, K.J. Davis had an 11-yard touchdown reception. Jaydien Pittman started the scoring with a 30-yard punt return touchdown, while Felix Jackson capped the offense with a 27-yard touchdown run.

Defensively, Josh Dean led the charge. The junior linebacker recorded a team-high nine tackles, a sack and an interception. Carson Topmiller also had an interception.

Following his team's narrow win last week at Pahokee and with a game carrying possible regional implications set for next week, Groody worried Holy Trinity could become a trap game. But his players responded by scoring the game's first 25 points.

"I thought the focus was really good, especially coming off a win like that," he said. "Our guys have really done a good job of compartmentalizing."

John Carroll (5-1) hosts True North next week at McGuire Stadium.

Port St. Lucie 27, Okeechobee 20

Everette Alford earned his first victory as Jaguars head coach as his team outlasted the Brahmans on the road.

With Okeechobee driving late for the potential game-tying score, Felix Lopez was the hero for the visitors. He forced a fumble at the goal line while teammate Eiko Morales recovered it.

"It feels great," Alford said of the win. "I'm just hoping we can build on it and finish the rest of the year strong. The kids played hard and earned it tonight."

Al'Xavier Bulgin was outstanding at quarterback for the Jaguars. The junior threw four touchdown passes. Two went to Eric Williams, while the other two were caught by Landon Human.

Human unofficially finished with six receptions for 150 yards. He also recorded a sack and multiple tackles for loss on defense.

Port St. Lucie (1-5) looks to make it two straight wins when it hosts Westwood next week.

Master's Academy 48, Faith Christian 14

The Patriots joined the Jaguars as area programs to capture their first win of the season. Master's Academy scored early and often in a home victory over the Lions.

The Patriots enjoyed a 41-0 halftime lead.

"Our best week of practice this season paid off and led to an excellent performance by the boys today," Patriots head coach Stephen Boyer said.

Master's Academy (1-6) threw five touchdown passes. That included two Jackson Fromag-to-Joshua Namvar connections covering 50 and 20 yards. Troy Borcheller also had a touchdown reception while accounting for one of the team's two rushing scores.

On defense, Banks Swearingen and Sam Hunter each had interceptions, while the team added two fumble recoveries.

Next week, the Patriots play at Legacy Charter.

District 13-4A: Heritage 29, Sebastian River 0

Coming off a bye week, the host Sharks stuck with the Panthers through the first half but could not stay close after halftime.

Sebastian River trailed just 6-0 after 24 minutes.

"I loved our energy in the first half. We were playing sound defensively," Sharks head coach Tony Perry said. "I was very proud of us coming out and answering the bell. Then in the second half, Heritage showed up and did what it's supposed to do. As a defense, we didn't do our job."

Perry specifically pointed to his team's inability to stop big plays in the second half.

Sebastian River lost despite winning the turnover battle. Junior defensive back Andrew Thomas had an interception as part of the team's three takeaways.

Still winless in 2026, the Sharks (0-6) return to district action next week when they play at Legacy.

DeLand 67, St. Lucie West Centennial 0

The Eagles suffered their third consecutive shutout loss and fifth straight defeat following a lopsided road loss to the Bulldogs.

St. Lucie West Centennial (1-5) looks to rebound at 7 p.m. Friday at Cocoa.

Martin Bowl 43

District 12-5A: South Fork 14, Martin County 13

Treasure Coast 28, Fort Pierce Westwood 0

Thursday

St. Edward's 31, Glades Day 15

The Pirates continue to overcome adversity in a season hindered by injuries. St. Edward's returned to the .500 mark with a wire-to-wire victory over the Gators at Michael J. Mersky Field.

The home team jumped out to a 19-0 halftime lead.

"We're young, but we're showing different intangibles that we're looking for," Pirates head coach Rich Schofield said. "On a short week after a win, can we bounce back, refocus and get two wins in a row? We did that. It's great to execute on the field, but we're really looking at who we are in the big picture."

Tristin Scent accounted for three total touchdowns. The freshman wide receiver finished with four receptions for 111 yards and two touchdowns while adding two carries for 21 yards and a rushing score.

Both of Scent's touchdown receptions came from Nolan Ange. The freshman backup quarterback completed 13 of 18 passes for 189 yards. He also caught a 3-yard touchdown pass from Turner Barnett.

Kayleb Redmon paced the team on the ground. The sophomore had nine carries for 44 yards and a touchdown.

Barnett and Christian Alfonso each had an interception on defense.

St. Edward's (4-4) is idle next week. The bye week gives the Pirates a chance to get healthy, as junior starting quarterback Dylan Colontrelle and junior athlete Alex Rojas are expected to return from injury.

"In two weeks, we might be the healthiest we've been, which is really exciting for a young group," Schofield said.

St. Edward's hosts Leonard at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16.
