NORMAL, Ill. (WMBD/WYZZ) -- It may be the most-anticipated game of the Missouri Valley Football Conference season.
Tenth-ranked Illinois State hosts No. 2 South Dakota State on Saturday in Normal. The Jackrabbits are the preseason Valley favorite, with the Redbirds finishing second in the conference preseason poll.

Both teams are 4-1 heading into the 6 p.m. contest Saturday. And ISU coach Brock Spack hopes it's hard to get a ticket.
"It's not homecoming, it's not Family Day, it's just a really good football game. And I would think you'd want to be there," Spack said. "If you want to be a national championship caliber football team every single season, you have to fill your stadium every Saturday. This Saturday, there's no excuse not to be there."
South Dakota State boasts the No. 1 offense in Football Championship Subdivision and is averaging 42.8 points per game. Illinois State, which lost its MVFC opener at Northern Iowa last week, is allowing just 15 points per game.
