‘South Africa’s biggest party’
“We want to fill the stadium once again for South Africa’s biggest party,” said Rian Oberholzer, CEO of SA Rugby.
“We can promise two days of top-class action as well as the unique experience the Cape Town Sevens offers with music and entertainment for people of all ages to enjoy.
“We’ve seen the Blitzboks win the World Championship in the past two seasons and this is the annual chance to see the boys turn on the style on home turf.”
Prices have been shaved by between 17% and 28% (depending on category) for the highly anticipated event which brings together the best male and female sevens players in the world.
The full range of prices is as follows:
- Category A: R500 (west and east, lower tier, close to halfway line)
- Category B: R380 (west and east, lower tier, 10m-line towards the corners)
- Category C: R280 (lower tier, Party and Family stands)
- Category D: R180 (second tier unreserved)
The event will again deliver its unique blend of sport and party with thrilling on-field action and killer entertainment by way of music, dance, comedy, food and culture.
“It’s a special celebration and we hope people will come along with their friends in their fancy dress to enjoy the rugby, the weather, the entertainment, the food and the drink,” said Oberholzer.
“It’ll be two, action-packed days, with the Blitzboks as the stars of the show as they look to achieve the remarkable feat of taking the new world champions crown for a third year in a row.”
Buy through official channels only
Tickets are only available via www.springboks.tmtickets.co.za and Oberholzer once again urged spectators to buy only through official channels.
“We saw at the last Cape Town rugby event this year that unsuspecting fans were left high and dry without access to the ground when they bought through unofficial re-sellers,” said Oberholzer.
“We repeat our advice – as we do before every national rugby event – to please only purchase through official channels or risk losing your money as well as being excluded from the event.”
By way of comparison, these were the prices for 2025:
Category A: R600 (west and east, lower tier, on the half-way line)
Category B: R450 (west and east, lower tier, 10m-line towards the corners)
Category C: R350 (north and south, lower tier, Party and Family stands)
Category D: R250 (levels two and three, unreserved seating)
Disabled: R450 (includes disabled person and partner)
