SWR Vigilance Organizes Kavya Path Competition under Vigilance Awareness Campaign–2026

As part of the Vigilance Awareness Campaign–2026, South Western Railway organized a Kavya Path Competition in Kannada and Hindi on the theme "Probity for Prosperity" with the objective of promoting awareness and importance of integrity, probity and ethical values by providing railway employees an opportunity to express their thoughts and commitment to these ideals through poetry.

Central Vigilance Commission has directed all public organizations to observe Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2026 from 17th August to 16th November on the theme of ‘Probity for Prosperity’. On these lines South Western Railway, Vigilance department organized a ‘Kavya Path’ Competition for the first time, making it a unique initiative to spread the message of integrity through the medium of poetry. The competition witnessed an enthusiastic response from employees, with 29 participants in Kannada and Hindi representing various Divisions and Workshops of South Western Railway.
In the Kannada Kavya Path, Ravi Chalawadi, OS/PCCM/O/HQ, secured the First Prize, while Mailarling Dyamappa, Tech-I/UBLS, secured the Second Prize, and Fakeeresh Somannavar, Tech-II/UBLS, secured the Third Prize.
In the Hindi category, Smt. Bijini T.T., FSO/CMS/O/MYS, secured the First Prize, Jishnu Jayaprakash, Steno Gr.I/Sr.DPO/O/MYS, secured the Second Prize, and Smt. Kanta Rani, Rajbhasha Adhikari/MYS, secured the Third Prize.
Manoj Kumar, Senior Deputy General Manager and Chief Vigilance Officer congratulated all the winners and appreciated enthusiastic participation from various units. He stated that the poems written by the participants will be compiled into a book so that the ideas on probity, integrity and honesty spread across to inspire more and more people to follow the path of simplicity and honesty.
