The Detroit Lions (1-1) opened the NFL's Week 2 slate with a 41-31 road loss at the Buffalo Bills (2-0) on "Thursday Night Football."
Though Lions quarterback Jared Goff passed for 327 yards and four touchdowns, Detroit couldn't ever slow Josh Allen and the Bills' offense. Buffalo scored touchdowns on six of its first eight possessions. Allen totaled five touchdowns, passing for 248 yards and three scores, and rushing for an additional 69 yards and two scores.

With its Week 2 date already in the books, the Lions can sit back and watch the rest of the NFL slate on Sunday as they rest their bodies and gear up for a Week 3 contest in Detroit against the New York Jets (1-0). The Jets host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on Fox.
