The Milwaukee Brewers are enjoying a rare off day after losing their series finale against the Cincinnati Reds. However, they had already won the first two games of the series, which gave them yet another series victory. At 93-57, they still have the best record in all Major League Baseball.
They also still hold a ten-game lead over the Chicago Cubs for first place in the National League Central Division. With just 12 games left to play, they have already clinched a spot in the postseason. This week, though, they can also clinch their fourth-consecutive division crown.

As Milwaukee enters the home stretch of the 2026 regular season, their magic number to win the NL Central again is two. Judging by how manager Pat Murphy has been quick to pull struggling relievers over the course of the past few games, it is clear that the Brewers are still playing each game with one goal in mind: win.
Fortunately for them, they are putting their best foot forward in their upcoming series against the Pittsburgh Pirates by sending their best starting pitchers to the mound.
Jacob Misiorowski
Milwaukee’s ace, two-time All-Star Jacob Misiorowski, is the favorite to win the NL Cy Young Award this year. He will start on Tuesday, hoping to add to his 2026 resume and climb up the Brewers’ all-time single season pitching leaders list.
He is currently 14-5 with a 1.95 ERA, 236 strikeouts, and 0.80 WHIP. Currently, opposing hitters are batting .156 against Misiorowski. If that holds over his last few starts this year, it would be the lowest mark in MLB history.
Logan Henderson
Behind Misiorowski, it is pretty clear to everyone that Logan Henderson is the second-best pitcher on the team. When the Brewers start postseason play, it is a foregone conclusion that he is going to start Game Two.
So far in 2026, Henderson is 10-3 with a 2.34 ERA, 0.78 WHIP, and 99 strikeouts in 88.1 innings.
In 21 career starts, Henderson has never allowed more than three earned runs. He is slowly but surely creeping up on the Major League record in that department.
Dustin May
Milwaukee’s big trade deadline acquisition for their starting rotation was Dustin May. While the results have not been great thus far, May turned in his best start as a Brewer in his last outing, going six strong innings while allowing no runs on two hits and a walk. He also had six strikeouts.
Since joining Milwaukee, May is 2-2 with a 4.91 ERA. These numbers are far from great, but if he can build off of his last start, he is almost assuredly going to be one of the Brewers starters come October.
