The Arizona Cardinals finally begin the regular season today. With new first-year head coach Mike LaFleur, the Cardinals make their regular-season debut against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Cardinals went 3-14 last season, losing their last nine games and 11 of their final 12. Quarterback Kyler Murray was released and Jacoby Brissett was given a big raise to be their starting quarterback in 2026.
The Chargers are coming off consecutive playoff appearances under head coach Jim Harbaugh, but he has two new coordinators this year. Mike McDaniel takes over for Greg Roman, and Chris O'Leary is the new defensive coordinator after Jesse Minter became head coach of the Baltimore Ravens.
