Jacob Infante Declares Missouri Has the Upper Hand Over Kansas
Pro Football Network’s Jacob Infante, a Missouri alumnus, did not hold back after the Tigers defeated Kansas 38-21 on Friday.
Infante took to X after the game and delivered a blunt assessment of the rivalry: “Kansas will always be Mizzou football’s little brother.”
The comment came after No. 23 Missouri turned a competitive first half into a convincing road victory.
Kansas initially gave its home crowd plenty to celebrate, blocking two Missouri field-goal attempts. One of those blocks became an 88-yard touchdown return by Austin Alexander, putting the Jayhawks in front early.
Missouri answered with Jamal Roberts’ 64-yard touchdown run and entered halftime tied 14-14. The Tigers then changed the game after the break, outscoring Kansas 14-7 in the third quarter before controlling the clock with 15 straight rushing plays in the fourth.

Quarterback Austin Simmons supplied three touchdown passes while throwing for 292 yards. Roberts finished with 125 rushing yards and a touchdown, while Donovan Olugbode and Cayden Lee each touched 120 receiving yards. Kansas quarterback Isaiah Marshall threw for 168 yards and two touchdowns but also had two interceptions.
The result extended Missouri’s recent run in the series. The Tigers have won six of the last seven meetings and now lead the all-time series 58-55-9. Friday’s victory also marked Missouri’s fifth straight win over Kansas.
That recent history is particularly relevant because the Border War is still being rebuilt. The matchup returned after a 13-season break following Missouri’s move from the Big 12 to the SEC. The 2026 contest was the second game in a planned four-game series designed to restore one of college football’s older rivalries.
For Infante, however, the latest result offered little reason to treat the rivalry as an even contest. The way Missouri withstood Kansas’ early push, dominated the second half, and closed out the game on the ground gave the Tigers another strong result in the series.
With the Border War back on the schedule, Kansas and Missouri will have more opportunities to reshape the recent narrative. But for now, Infante believes the balance remains firmly on Missouri’s side.
