Rams release cornerback from injured reserve
· Yahoo Sports
The Los Angeles Rams are allowing Zech McPhearson the chance to play for another team this season. After placing him on what would've been season-ending injured reserve, the Rams cut McPhearson from IR with an injury settlement on Saturday.
That allows McPhearson to potentially sign with another team and contribute this season, whereas he would've been out for the year had he stayed on IR with the Rams.

Los Angeles signed McPhearson on Aug. 10 as a depth piece at cornerback, giving him a chance to play in the team's three preseason games. He didn't earn a spot on the 53-man roster and was placed on IR before final cuts, but he can now sign with another team after agreeing to an injury settlement.

McPhearson came into the NFL in 2021 as a fourth-round pick by the Eagles and had a stint with the Jaguars' practice squad in 2024 before landing with the Rams this offseason.
