Travis Kelce’s return for the Kansas City Chiefs’ training camp has sparked a lot of chatter among those around the NFL.

The 36-year-old is fresh from saying his vows after tying the knot with global megastar Taylor Swift at the start of July.

Some have suggested that Kelce has returned to camp looking slightly overweight and even rocking a ‘dad bod’.

However, head coach Andy Reid has been quick to shut down those suggestions, with the Chiefs now just over a month away from their Week One clash against the Denver Broncos.

What Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said about Travis Kelce’s ‘dad bod’

One reporter also helped to shut down Kelce’s ‘dad bod’ rumours after sharing what he actually looked like during a recent practice session.

Kelce is returning for year 14 in the NFL and with the Chiefs, with many believing this could be his last season in the league.

Regardless of what may lie ahead, coach Reid has been impressed with just how fit Kelce has been upon his return to camp.

“He came back in good shape. I know everybody’s out there saying he’s got the “dad bod” and all this stuff, but he looks the same to me as he’s always looked, and he’s just playing like crazy,” Reid told the NFL Network.

“He’s doing a nice job with everything – focused in and ready to go – and I appreciate that. When you have somebody who has been here 14 years and wants to be out there for every snap, he’s wired to play hard, play aggressive, and not be stopped. That kind of attitude is contagious.”

Kelce has seen his numbers slightly fall over the last three years, having not secured a 1000-yard season since 2022.

That very same 2022 season also saw Kelce score just one fewer touchdown (12) than he has over the last three seasons (13).

Seeing both Patrick Mahomes and Kelce return to camp and seemingly in good shape will be a huge source of optimism for Chiefs fans far and wide.

However, fans may need to make the most of the duo this season as it may be the final season they suit up together.
