2026 – Season Outlook
Raab has, so far, been the highlight of the bevy of transfers from UGA over the last few seasons (not sure how exciting that really is, all things considered). Raab earned All B1G Honorable Mention in his first season with the Boilers as he appeared in all 12 games, recorded 3 tackles, and was involved in 94 total special teams snaps.
Thoughts
Being a long snapper is one of those jobs that is overlooked…until it isn’t. When long snapping goes bad, it typically ends up being a major shift in a game and creates massive problems for both the offense and the defense. Having a player that the punters know will get the ball back to them with the ability to step into their punts helps execute the entire play. Raab’s ability to do that is one of the reasons why Purdue’s special teams unit was one of the bright spots in a disappointing season in 2025.
Raab is the entrenched starter and likely holds onto that spot as long as he remains on campus.
