The Chicago Bears may have just shown the world their special-edition Rivalries NFL jersey for next season after a gift exchange between Caleb Williams and Pope Leo XIV.

The holy figure recently received a present from the Chicago quarterback, and now it’s giving NFC North fans a special look at what the Bears will be wearing.

Pro Football Talk and Bears Twitter page @Bearsszn brought up the fact that Chicago is likely due for a new uniform in 2026. The signed jersey provided by Williams features orange numbers, which vary from traditional Bears away jerseys.

Chicago normally boasts a home navy blue jersey that includes orange numbers and white stripes on the sleeves. Meanwhile, their away uniforms include blue numbers and sleeve stripes.

Williams provided the 267th pope with a signed jersey heading into next season as the Bears look to build on their success. The Bears star quarterback helped guide Chicago to the NFC Divisional Round before losing to the Los Angeles Rams.

However, the alleged leak on this season’s Rivalries jersey could explode in popularity amongst the Bears fanbase. That will especially become the case if Pope Leo is ever spotted wearing the jersey on an NFL Sunday.

The Head of the Catholic Church is a known Chicago sports fan and made serious waves in 2025 after he was announced as the next pope. Photos even surfaced of Leo at the 2005 World Series when the Chicago White Sox won MLB’s championship.

The Bears last appeared in the Super Bowl in 2007 when the team lost to the Indianapolis Colts. Chicago only has two Super Bowl appearances in its storied history.

Bears fans are also hopeful that Leo will be able to provide the Chicago-based football team with their first championship since 1985. Head coach Ben Johnson currently has the Bears faithful excited with Williams, Rome Odunze and Colston Loveland leading the way.
