JJ Wetherholt and others have been great, with his odds to make the NL All-Star team looking strong as one of the best second basemen in all of MLB. The same goes for Jordan Walker, who's having a breakout season as one of MLB's best outfielders.

However, Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer predicted that while Wetherholt is named an All-Star, Walker would not get the nod, in one of the more ridiculous snubs possible this season.

Cardinals' Jordan Walker predicted to miss All-Star Game as major snub

Rymer is predicting that Juan Soto, Brandon Marsh, and Michael Harris II are named as NL All-Star starters in the outfield, as all three are in Phase 2 of fan voting. But the reserves are where the issue has come about for Walker.

There are three outfield reserves for the NL All-Stars, with Pete Crow-Armstrong, Corbin Carroll, and James Wood earning those three spots.

While there could be room for another outfielder, as there's no strict limit on the number of outfielders for an All-Star team, Walker would make sense as someone worth putting on the All-Star team.

He has 3.2 bWAR this season, eighth most in the NL among position players. Heading into July 3, Walker has 93 hits, 49 runs scored, 16 doubles, 19 homers, 63 RBIs (most in NL), 11 stolen bases, 26 walks, a .291 batting average, and an .864 OPS.

There's no question Walker has been one of the best position players in baseball this season, and he should absolutely make the NL All-Star team.

Rymer snubbing Walker in this prediction would be completely ridiculous. There's a real case to be made that Walker should be in over Wood, if not joining him on the All-Star roster.

Walker missing out on an All-Star nod this season when he's been one of the best players and best outfielders in both leagues would be completely ridiculous.

He's by far the biggest snub of Rymer's predicted All-Stars, and hopefully, MLB doesn't actually snub Walker, as he more than deserves an All-Star nod for his breakout 2026 season.
