For the average football player, celebrating a goal is the ultimate goal. It is the culmination of all the hard work put in training during the week, and the end of everything they have been working for during the match.

Michael Olise is different. Bayern Munich’s winger is rarely seen running towards the fans, fists clenched, screaming in jubilee. In a recent interview with highsnobiety (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), the Frenchman explained why he does not celebrate as much as most people do.

You don’t celebrate much. Even after spectacular goals, you seem unmoved while everyone around you is screaming. What is happening internally in those moments?

Olise: “I am not a super emotional person. I don’t react the same way everyone else reacts.”

As you can see, even his response carries that straight-to-the-point, non-emotional mood. We might see him being a bit more emotional whenever he scores in the ongoing World Cup.

Olise has played two matches with the French national team and has three assists already, while he tries to help his team reach the coveted World Cup.
