According to multiple reports out of Italy, Juventus and Atlético Madrid striker Alexander Sørloth have agreed to personal terms on a contract, paving the way for the two clubs to try and get a deal done to have the 30-year-old Norwegian arrive in Turin this summer. As we heard a day earlier, it would be a deal that would pay Sørloth €4 million net per season and, as we now know through TuttoJuve’s Mirko Di Natale, it’s a contract that would run through 2030. Some outlets say that final year is guaranteed, while others like Tuttosport say that it is an option for the 2029-30 season.
As what feels like a relevant side note, Juventus are also still talking with Atléti about Nico González, who is looking to make his loan move to the Spanish side permanent this summer if the two clubs can reach an agreement on a transfer fee in the coming weeks.
Just how much Sørloth and González are connected still remains to be seen, but it’s hard to think there isn’t something there to make both sides — and the players — ultimately get what they all want.
While we wait to see what it will take for Juventus to get what is proving to what seems like their top target for a new striker — or at least the beginning of the remaking of a new striker group — they have reportedly gotten an important step out of the way. As we always say, it’s not the most important step, but it’s an important step nonetheless to get a contract agreed to with a player who looks set on wanting to join Juventus this summer.
Juventus and Atlético Madrid have reportedly had a number of contacts with one another in recent days, and that is obviously regarding to both Sørloth and González. Sørloth has also reportedly already spoken with Juve manager Luciano Spalletti, and obviously that has gone well and increased his desire to potentially sign with the Bianconeri this summer.
So now we wait to see what Juventus and Atlético Madrid can come up with when it comes to getting deep into negotiations to try and make this deal happen. At the very least, we can certainly say that Sørloth is a massive priority for the club right now.
