Kevin Durant finally gave fans a first look at his Nike KD 19 with the help of Drake.
The Houston Rockets star and rapper have been friends for years, and fresh off Drake's Iceman release -- he dropped the project on May 15 -- Durant called for him to be a part of the ad. In the spot, which KD dropped on Wednesday, May 20, he shuffled through a couple of pairs of shoes to get Drake's opinion on them.
The first shoe Durant showed Drake was a pair of blue and orange pair of KD sneakers with the top part resembling a cowboy boot.
“OK, first thought, transcending the game,” Drake said to Durant. “You need a banjo for those. Those are crazy. Y’all went home, home, home on the range with it. Wow. You’re in 2038 with those.”
After giving a displeased look, Durant tells Drake, “Come on, bro, I can’t hoop in these."
Durant then whipped out a pair of sneakers that had white fur on them to show the rapper.
“This guy’s an abominable snowman. They’re hard. This guy’s trying to dominate the Alaskan market,” Drake quipped. “You gotta keep the ankles warm. Those are crazy.”
KD then asked, "Are you a yes man, bro?" after the rapper agreed with the ridiculous previous choices.
After testing Drake, KD pulled out the monochromatic capri blue colorway of the KD 19, which the rapper referred to as the "Candy's."
"Someone call the dentist,” Drake joked.
Nike closed the ad with the tagline, “Everyone needs a yes man.”
Drake also shared the commercial on his Instagram page, writing,“Normalize glazing the bros @easymoneysniper 19th sneaker available on nike.com and SNKRs 6.17."

The sneaker release follows Drake dropping not only Iceman last Friday (May 15), but additionally Maid of Honour and Habibti. The Toronto native even gave Durant a shoutout on the track "Q&A." "Me and KD got way too much cheese like the— yeah, yeah/ I got some questions for you and I need answers for ’em,” he raps.
Durant's Nike KD 19 will be officially released on June 17 via Nike and the SNKR app.
