Oregon Ducks open as double-digit favorite over Michigan Wolverines

· Yahoo Sports

Two programs heading in opposite directions this season will meet in Eugene this Saturday for just the second time as Big Ten foes. The Oregon Ducks will look to carry momentum from a big road win into Autzen Stadium against the visiting Michigan Wolverines.

The Ducks and Wolverines both began the season ranked, but have faced significant adversity this season. The Wolverines have since fallen out of the rankings and benched quarterback Bryce Underwood in favor of backup Tommy Carr, while the Ducks have surged recently and have an outside shot at the conference title game.

FanDuel Sportsbook has opened the betting line with Oregon favored by 10.5 points at home. Michigan has struggled to move the ball offensively this season, managing just six points in a loss to rival Michigan State last week in Ann Arbor. Two good defenses will meet, and it could turn into a low-scoring battle. The total points spread is currently set at just 40.5 points.

Oregon is a heavy favorite on the money line, boasting -400 odds, while Michigan opens at +310.

The Ducks found their groove on offense once again in a 41-28 drubbing of Ohio State in Columbus. Dylan Raiola and Dakorien Moore continued to lead the way, and Dan Lanning's decision to make Jay Johnson the team's play-caller continued to pay off.

Michigan will make its first trip to Eugene since 2003, when the Ducks stunned the then-No. 3 Wolverines at Autzen Stadium behind a big day from running back Terrence Whitehead and Oregon's dual-quarterback offense with Jason Fife and Kellen Clemens. The Ducks have won the last three matchups against Michigan, including a 2024 matchup in The Big House, and could take the series lead this Saturday.

Oregon and Michigan are set to kick off at 12:30 p.m. PST in Eugene, with the game broadcasting live on FS1.
