LeSean McCoy makes Eagles point as Dallas Cowboys’ poor form continues
· Yahoo Sports
Former NFL player LeSean McCoy has questioned the reason behind the Dallas Cowboys’ poor run of form this season.
The Cowboys went into the game against the Arizona Cardinals high on momentum after their win against the Philadelphia Eagles. They even started the game on top against the Cardinals and had a 17-10 lead going into the fourth quarter.

However, a three-touchdown fourth quarter from the Cardinals ended up with the game going into overtime and a Chad Ryland field goal meant a 33-30 loss for the Cowboys.
It was the team’s fifth loss this season, and it led to many criticising the team for their performances. McCoy, who was a former Philadelphia Eagles player, posed a question on why the Cowboys were so poor this season.

It is no secret that the Philadelphia Eagles are having one of their worst seasons in over a decade. They last started a season 2-6 in 1999, which was Andy Reid’s first year as a head coach.
The reason behind the poor start has been injuries. The Eagles have been shorthanded with their star quarterback, Jalen Hurts and several other key pieces, including DeVonta Smith, missing. These are major injuries that have left the team with no option but to play backups, and this has led to a six-game losing streak.
While injuries have led to the Eagles’ drop in form, McCoy has posed an important question about the Cowboys.
“I can tell you why the Eagles are a bad team “INJURIES”… WHY ARE THE COWBOYS BAD ???” posted McCoy on X.
The Cowboys have not had to deal with any major injuries this season, at least before the game against the Cardinals. However, their record is 3-5, and they sit second behind the New York Giants in the NFC East standings. The only reason they are still second is that the division consists of the Washington Commanders and Eagles, both of whom have struggled all year.
Despite having an offensive unit with the likes of Dak Prescott, George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys have been poor in big moments. Their defence has let them down consistently, and although they had a 24-10 lead at one stage in the game, the Cowboys were unable to contain the Cardinal offence. This was even after the Cardinals replaced starting QB Jacoby Brissett with Gardner Minshew.
Owner Jerry Jones was very optimistic about the team in the offseason, as he made a lot of changes to improve the defence. So far, it has not shown any improvement, and if they continue losing games, the Cowboys could miss the playoffs once again, which would not be an ideal situation for the franchise.
