The Vigilance Awareness Week-2026 on Central Railway concluded with award distribution ceremony and release of “Subodh” booklet on 28.10.2026.
Dr. G. K. Goswami, IPS(Retd.), Founding Director of the Uttar Pradesh State Institute of Forensic Science, Lucknow was the Chief Guest. Rajeev Shrivastava, General Manager, Central Railway, Shri. Neeraj Kumar Dohare, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) and Senior Deputy General Manager (SDGM), Central Railway, Senior officers from various departments, divisions, and the Headquarters of Central Railway were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Dr.Goswami highlighted the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Railway sector and Vigilance Administration. He elaborated on the applications of AI in strengthening transparency, detecting irregularities, preventing corruption, and enhancing the effectiveness of vigilance mechanisms. He explained these concepts through detailed discussions and real-life case studies, demonstrating how emerging technologies can contribute to more efficient, accountable, and corruption free governance.
A special edition of the booklet “SUBODH” was also released, featuring case studies and insight to promote best practice and system improvement.
Winners of various activities and competition including essay writing, slogan writing, debate and skit performances, which were organized as part of the celebration to spread awareness about vigilance and integrity among railway employees, were also felicitated during the event.
The Vigilance Awareness Week-2026 with the theme “Probity For Prosperity”is part of the a three-month-long Vigilance Awareness Campaign organized every year, in compliance with the guidelines of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), to promote awareness about corruption and motivate every officer, employee, and citizen to play an active role in building a corruption-free system.
