The Jets' young pass rusher is limited in practice with a groin injury. The first-round pick finished Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, but came into the week with the ailment.
Bailey has had a great start to his NFL career. The Texas Tech product has 35 tackles (21 solo) with 5.5 sacks and three forced fumbles. He was named Rookie of the Week following the Jets' Week 5 win over the Browns. In that game, Bailey registered three of the team's eight sacks, seven tackles, four QB hits, and three tackles for loss.
While Glenn said he will see how the week goes for Bailey before making a designation, it comes at a tough time for New York. Although the bye week comes next week, which could give Bailey two weeks to recover from his injury, the Jets (2-5) are fighting to keep their season alive. A loss to the Raiders this week could lead to the team becoming sellers ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline.
Glenn also revealed that Braelon Allen (ankle), Max Mitchell (concussion), Breece Hall (quad), and Dylan Parham (knee) will also be limited in practice.
T'Vondre Sweat (knee) and Joseph Ossai (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, and Glenn said he'll keep them in the "week-to-week" category, which likely means they are doubtful for Sunday's game.
