But …
“It might be a little lamb chops and some gravy,” Brown said after the 76ers’ 127-116 win over the Milwaukee Bucks Saturday night at Xfinity Mobile Arena. “You know what I mean? He should stay ready at all times.”

Things will be interesting when the Sixers (3-0) host the Boston Celtics on Nov. 10 in the first of four series meetings between Atlantic Division rivals.
The Celtics (1-1) shipped the five-time All-Star and 2024 NBA Finals MVP to the Sixers in a blockbuster trade for Paul George and multiple draft picks.
On Instagram, Brown posted a blue hat, which is the symbol for “cap,” meaning something is untruthful, in response to Tatum saying in a video that he was “just as much caught off guard as the rest of the world” by the trade.
Tatum responded to Brown’s symbol after Boston beat the New York Knicks on Friday.
“I don’t have any animosity or beef, or ill will towards him,” the Celtic six-time All-Star said. “I think the toughest part is since he’s not on the Celtics anymore, the narrative or the conversations haven’t been enough about what we accomplished — all the games we won, winning a championship, how we’ve grown together. It’s turned into this drama type of thing.”
Tatum added that he'd like to talk with Brown to clear things up and reach an understanding.
“He just turned 30,” Tatum said. “I’m 28 with two kids. It should be more about winning a championship. This ain’t no Shaq and Kobe. There is no beef. That’s not my thing.”
Brown, who scored 27 points on his 30th birthday on Saturday, doesn’t plan to talk to Tatum before the teams’ meeting on Nov. 10.
"We both got so much stuff in front of us," he said. "So, at the end of the day, … he’s got to do what he’s got to do for his team. I got to do what I do for my team. Jayson's a great guy. Like I said, great family, hell of a basketball player, hell of a PR team.
“There's no beef, but it might be a little lamb chop."
Tatum and Brown thrived as a pairing during their nine years together in Boston. The Celtics, however, decided Tatum was the player they wanted to build around and traded Brown in what was essentially a cost-cutting move.
