'LeBricked a few': Skip Bayless reacts to LeBron James' performance after 76ers beat Cavaliers
· Yahoo Sports
LeBron James helped the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 114-106, but Skip Bayless still had a lot to say about the veteran.
All eyes were on The King as he made his Philly debut on Thursday night, but it wasn’t a great start for him or his team.

However, the Sixers’ quality showed later in the game, and they pulled off an incredible comeback to go 2-0 this season.
Bayless complained about James’ performance early on, but he gave him his flowers after the game – well, sort of.

It wasn’t a dominant start by the Sixers against the Cavaliers by any means on Thursday night.
There was some sloppy play early on by the hosts, and Bayless, unsurprisingly, pointed the finger at James a couple of times while the game was still going on.
His first tweet read: “Come on, LeBron, you can’t set the tone for a big national-TV game against your original team – your Sixers home opener – with three turnovers in the 8 minutes you played in the 1st quarter. You’re better than that.”
Bayless added 35 minutes later on X: “LeBron: 5 points and FIVE TURNOVERS at half as Sixers trail 69-45. Come on, man.”
The 76ers then got their act together and overturned a 29-point deficit to win the game in the end.
Bayless hailed the Sixers for their show of class and also appeared to praise James, with a few jibes along the way.
He said in a video on X: “Oh, Lord, have mercy. What a display of superior talent by the Philadelphia 76ers with one of the greatest comebacks in Sixers history. From 29 down to win by eight over the visiting Cavaliers flexing and flaunting the talent.
“Maxey, 32 and Embiid, 28, and Jaylen Brown, 21. And that guy, 23, that LeBron guy, first year in Philly, home opener in Philly, shook off his five first-half turnovers that put them in the hole or at least helped to, and started playing a little basketball in the second half.
“Actually went along for a great ride. Wound up with 17 and 9 rebounds. Didn’t shoot it well from three. LeBricked a few, as usual, one of four. I’d like to see 10 assists, but he had five.
“Because when it was time, Tyrese Maxey just said: ‘No, I got it.’ And he was dribbling the ball up the floor and initiating the offence most of the night.
“All I know is this is the best team in the East. Knicks, you are officially in trouble. Enjoy, LeBron.”
That’s probably as much of a compliment as LeBron will get from Bayless after a game like that, but the latter could be right about one thing: The Sixers may well be the best team in the East right now.
