A dramatic 43-35 double-overtime victory for the Hurricanes that came after two almost miracles from the Seminoles on what looked like 4th and infinity.

Facing fourth-and-21 after two quick overtime scores from Miami, FSU needed a touchdown to extend the game.

Ashton Daniels uncorked a picturesque pass to Micahi Danzy, who leaped over a defender for what looked like a 36-yard score. It seemingly was the magic moment the program had been seeking to snap its road losing streak, which extended to 12 games with the loss, but a flag turned attention away from a potential game-tying two-point conversion.

Xavier Chaplin was called for a hold, and it wiped away Danzy's remarkable score to set FSU up with a daunting 4th-and-31.

In need of magic, Duce Robinson came so close to producing it.

Daniels was forced out of the pocket and rolled right to avoid pressure. He unleashed a shot to the right corner of the end zone, which Robinson got his hands on despite being consumed by a wall of orange jerseys.

With his fourth-quarter and overtime heroics, a 75-yard game-tying touchdown and 20-yard score, it seemed like Robinson (five catches, 115 yards) had pulled one last rabbit out of the hat.

But Miami defensive back Bryce Fitzgerald, who was in and out of the game with injuries, was judged to have pried it away from the Seminole star to end the game on a called interception inside a mangle of bodies in the endzone.

The play was reviewed, and while it looked like Robinson may have had a case for the catch on second viewing, the ACC command center upheld the ruling on the field, sinking FSU to a sub. 500 record ahead of a bye week.
