The Denver Broncos got the ball to start the second half up 14-3 over the Seattle Seahawks. Bo Nix would open things up with a rollout boot and a pass over the middle to Courtland Sutton for 10 yards and a first down. Back-to-back runs had Ben Powers on skates for that gave Seahawks defenders an easy blowup. Denver would be punting shortly after.

The Seahawks answered with a couple of really good third down conversions to keep their drive alive before Sam Darnold unloaded down the field to Rahid Shaheed for a 42-yard gain with Jahdae Barron in coverage.

Denver’s defense woke up after that with a huge third down sack by Jonah Elliss to force the 47-yard field goal attempt that would doink off the uprights. They would get the biggest play in the game to that point and come away with zero points to show for it.

The Broncos would immediately go three-and-out again thanks in large part to a botched snap by Luke Wattenberg.

Denver’s defense had been playing with fire all night and closed out the Seahawks next drive with a huge third down sack to force a fourth and long.

Denver took over at their own 10 yard line and Ben Powers would get dominated on the first down run play then pancake himself on third down. Just an ugly all around series for him and the Broncos would be punting after a three-and-out. They had three straight three-and-outs to start the second half.

The third quarter would come to an end with the Seahawks our near midfield.
