Eyewitness says LeBron James looks like he’s 51, claims 76ers are in for a ‘disaster’
· Yahoo Sports
A fan who had seats close to the floor for the Brooklyn Nets vs. Philadelphia 76ers game made a worrying admission about LeBron James that could cause a few concerns for Philly fans.
Since his free-agency move to Philadelphia in the offseason, the 76ers have been touted as favourites to win the championship. This is not just because of his presence, as they also added another star in Jaylen Brown, who has championship experience from his time with the Boston Celtics.

James is heading into Year 24 and despite being 41, he is still one of the best players in the game. The four-time NBA champion averaged 20.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 7.2 assists with the Lakers last season, while also displaying elite athleticism.
Fans are not expecting the exact same output in Philly, but with him on the roster, they have definitely become one of the strongest teams in the league. However, a fan who was at the Brooklyn Nets vs. 76ers’ preseason game had a contrasting view.
Fan thinks LeBron James experiment would fail for the Philadelphia 76ers
There are not many players who have shown the level of explosiveness LeBron James has at the age of 41.
Not only does he use his elite athleticism to continue dunking the ball, but his chase-down blocks are also something fans continue to see. However, during his debut with the 76ers one particular fan was not really impressed with what he saw from LeBron.
“LeBron James looks like he’s 51, not 41! This is going to be a disaster!” he wrote on his X account.
The recording was from a play where James was waiting on the corner for a three-pointer attempt but the ball was not passed to him.
Considering it was a preseason game, not a lot can be made from this clip. He scored 10 points with 4 rebounds and 5 assists against the Nets, which indicates that there are still ways James can make an impact on the floor.
He only had 1 shot the entire night and made it; the rest of his points came from free throws, but James had the highest +/- on the 76ers team in that game.
James is going to turn 42 in December and there could definitely be games where he goes quiet, but with his elite IQ, James will still be able to help the 76ers. His presence on the floor itself can instil fear in opponents, as he can score and create plays. With players like Brown, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, all James has to do is facilitate. If they manage to get 65 games from him with elite production, the 76ers definitely can come out of the East as the top seed.
