"We need to get as many Coogs out there as humanly possible," Fritz said of Saturday's top-20 showdown between UH and Oklahoma State at TDECU Stadium.
The matchup will be the first meeting between two ranked teams at TDECU Stadium since No. 17 UH hosted No. 20 Temple in the American Athletic Conference championship game on Dec. 5, 2015.
"We've got two teams that are ranked that will be playing next Saturday at 6:30 p.m.," Fritz said after the No. 22 Cougars beat Kansas State 35-16. "Not 11a.m., 6:30 p.m. We need to get as many Coogs out there as humanly possible.
"It's going to be a great game. You've got two fantastic quarterbacks (Conner Weigman and Drew Mestemaker), probably two of the better quarterbacks in the nation, seriously. Two really good teams. We're going to be right there in Houston, TDECU Stadium. Let's get some people out there, 6:30 this upcoming Saturday."

Fritz also made a pitch based on the weather forecast.
"It won't be hot. It will be nice and cool," he said. "I hear it's going to be about 75 (degrees). So come on out."
Two of the Cougars' three home games this season have been at 11 a.m. Because of the early starts in the heat of September, the Cougars drew 28,742 for the season opener against Oregon State and 25,593 against UCF. The only night kickoff, against FCS-level Southern, had an announced crowd of 28,937.
Athletic director Eddie Nuñez said the school plans to release details early in the week of several in-game features, including a drone show.
