Wednesday injury report for the Vikings Week 3 game with the Saints

Justin Jefferson is one step closer to returning to the Minnesota Vikings' starting lineup. He returned to practice on Wednesday for the first time since exiting the Vikings' Week 3 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Vikings still listed Jefferson as a limited participant due to his ankle injury, but it's a signal that his injury likely isn't a long-term issue, especially with a bye week upcoming after Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints.

But injuries continue to affect the receiving corps, as Jordan Addison (hamstring) didn't practice on Wednesday. Christian Darrisaw (concussion) and CB Chuck Demmings (hamstring) also sat out.

Brian O'Neill (knee) was limited, but he has managed the injury for several weeks and hasn't missed a game. Aaron Jones was limited and had a rest day.

Rookie punter Brett Thorson (hamstring) was a full participant and appears poised to return to action against the Saints. C Michael Jurgens (elbow) and TE Ben Yurosek (ankle) were full participants as they enter their 21-day window to return after spending the first four weeks on injured reserve.

The Saints had a long injury report after Monday night's game. RB Alvin Kamara (back), WR Barion Brown (thigh), LB Kaden Ellis (calf), LB Anfernee Jennings (knee), and WR Chris Olave (rest) all missed Wednesday's practice.
