Mizzou guarantees admission for eligible students in five Missouri school districtsAmy Davis is the owner of 10X Archery and says she has coached students across the metro for years.
“It's a unique thing that the school can offer. That may be a life skill for them. Maybe a life activity,” said Davis.
She says the sport is growing fast, at least in Missouri.
The National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) tells FOX4, while Missouri had 353 schools registered for their competitions through their website last year, Kansas had 41.
“For Kansas tournaments, it was very small because there weren't many schools involved,” said Braylee Hutton, archery student.
Hutton’s family briefly lived in Kansas last year. She and Davis started a competitive archery club at Piper Middle School and even took home second in the state their first year.
