Illinois has work to do
Illinois dropped its second straight game Saturday, falling 24-17 to Purdue at Gies Memorial Stadium. The Illini are now 2-3 overall and 0-2 in Big Ten play after back-to-back conference losses.
Illinois will have a week to regroup before traveling to East Lansing to face Michigan State on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT. FanDuel opened the Illini as a 3.5-point favorite against the Spartans.

Seven-match winning streak comes to an end
Illinois volleyball’s impressive run came to an end Sunday with a four-set loss to No. 17 Oregon.
The Illini had won seven straight matches entering the weekend, including a sweep of No. 22 Washington on Friday. Illinois is now 11-4 overall and 3-1 in Big Ten play.

Illini fall to No. 2 Michigan State
Illinois soccer suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to No. 2 Michigan State on Sunday at Demirjian Park.
The Illini will look to bounce back Thursday when they travel to face USC at 9:30 p.m. CT.

No. 4 Illinois men’s golf sits in second place after the first 36 holes of the Fighting Irish Classic. Max Herendeen leads the individual field entering Monday’s final round.
