FOX Sports’ Kevin Burkhardt joins A-list group of winners with prestigious award

FOX Sports NFL play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt has won a major broadcasting award.

Burkhardt, who is FOX Sports’ top NFL play-by-play announcer, won the 2027 Pat Summerall Award, which goes to a broadcaster or sports media personality who “exemplified the characteristics Pat Summerall wanted the award to represent – an individual who has had an outstanding career and who has made a significant impact in their community.”

He rose through the ranks to become the network’s top NFL play-by-play announcer and has Tom Brady as his analyst.
Burkhardt has also called two Super Bowls, does great work on the network’s baseball coverage, and hosts the studio during the regular season.

He does exceptional work and will receive the award on Feb. 11, 2027, in Los Angeles. It will be during the week of Super Bowl LXI.
Burkhardt will join an impressive list of broadcasters who have won this award, including Kirk Herbstreit, Jim Nantz, Greg Gumbel, James Brown, and Al Michaels.
