GM Dimpy Garg Inspects Coal Sidings in Dhanbad Division

East Central Railway General Manager Dimpy Garg on Saturday inspected the Shaktinagar-Krishnashila-Mahadia-Singrauli-Obra Dam railway section and various coal sidings in Dhanbad Division.
During the inspection, Dimpy Garg reviewed the safety aspects of bridges, culverts, overhead equipment (OHE) and railway tracks along the section. He also held a high-level meeting with officials of NTPC Vindhyachal and Singrauli to discuss smooth freight transportation and improved rail connectivity with coal mines.

The General Manager inspected NTPC Vindhyachal and held detailed discussions with its officials on various issues related to safe, smooth and uninterrupted freight transportation. The meeting focused on improving freight handling efficiency, ensuring smooth operations and further strengthening the safety of goods transportation.
During the inspection, Dimpy Garg also inspected Krishnashila station and the point crossing to review operational arrangements. He issued necessary directions to the concerned officials to ensure safe and smooth train operations.
He subsequently inspected Mahadia Coal Siding and reviewed coal loading and operational arrangements. He also sought information from the concerned officials and issued directions to ensure safe and efficient freight transportation.
Following the inspection, a meeting was held with officials of Northern Coalfields Limited, Singrauli. Various issues related to coal transportation, ease of freight movement, operational efficiency and safe and uninterrupted transportation were discussed in detail.
The General Manager also inspected Singrauli station and reviewed passenger amenities, operational arrangements and other facilities. He later inspected Obra Dam station and took stock of the railway operational arrangements there.
During the inspection, Dimpy Garg emphasised the need to further improve the safety, efficiency and smooth operation of railway services, along with enhancing the capacity and efficiency of freight transportation. He issued necessary directions to the concerned officials in this regard.
Dhanbad Division Divisional Railway Manager Akhilesh Mishra, along with other officials from the East Central Railway headquarters and division, were present during the inspection.
