New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo says he is devastated to lose Jaxson Dart to injury.

Jaxson Dart suffered an injury in the New York Giants defeat to the LA Rams, prompting fans to wonder whether the franchise is cursed. Dart’s knee injury will rule him out for the rest of the season.
Skattebo and Dart were both selected by the Giants in the 2025 Draft, and the running back admits it is not easy to lose his teammate.
He told a press conference: “It sucks. I talked to him on the sideline a little bit, he’s my best friend. It’s a little emotional for me. It sucked to lose him.”
Skattebo says he is confident the Giants quarterback will be able to handle the adversity.
“He’s doing great. Obviously, when you get hurt, it sucks, and you don’t know what to think.
“He knows he has more football left in his life, and it does suck, especially now. But as he gets through this rehab process and starts feeling better, he’ll have a better light on things, he’s strong-minded. He’s been through this a couple times already.
“He’s probably already thinking about coming back as fast as possible.”
Skattebo ready to move forward
Cam Skattebo’s own season was cut short by injury last year and he is determined to help the Giants salvage what is left from this year, without Dart.
“We gotta move on, the team has still got a full season left, we’ve got 15 games minimum left, it’s something we have to battle through. We have Jameis’ back.”
The Giants won their opener against the Cowboys, sparking a new world of optimism for the team, which quickly came crashing down.
In Week 3 they face the Tennessee Titans, who have begun the season 0-2. Perhaps it is the perfect game to try and move forward with.
