Derek Carr responds to suggestion of replacing Jaxson Dart at the Giants

The New York Giants are going to be without Jaxson Dart for the remainder of the season after he suffered an MCL injury on Monday.
After the quarterback was able to walk off the field – unlike Caleb Williams – fans remained hopeful of Dart’s injury only being minor.

This has proven not to be the case, with reports on Wednesday sharing the news that he would not play another game in his sophomore season.
Naturally, this has led to conversations about finding another QB for the Giants, given Jameis Winston failed to impress as Dart’s replacement.
One name that has been suggested is former New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr, and he has now provided his response.

Carr officially retired last year, prior to the 2025 season getting underway, following 11 seasons in the league.
However, fans should not expect to see Carr suiting up for the Giants any time soon.
“Beautiful picture but I’m too busy trying to find a level 40 crew to join,” he replied to a post on X featuring a dubbed image of him in a Giants uniform.
Over his career, Carr was selected four times for the Pro Bowl and is still only 35 years of age.
It does seem as if Carr has settled into retired life, with the former quarterback able to spend much more time with his young family.
Even the prospect of playing in New York seems unlikely to drag him away from the golf course, with the Giants now needing to rely on Winston for at least this weekend.
