Brock Bowers is out against Chargers

As expected, Las Vegas Raiders superstar tight end Brock Bowers is inactive for Sunday's game at the Los Angeles Chargers. Kickoff is set for 1:05 p.m. PT.

The Raiders made the decision to deactivate Bowers after he worked out on the field before the game. this was the expected outcome as he was listed as doubtful to play n Friday's injury report.
Bower did practice some Friday for the first time since his September 8 knee surgery. Las Vegas head coach Klint Kubiak said Friday he is optimistic Bowers will play at the New Orleans Saints on September 27. Michael Mayer will start for Bowers at the Chargers. Mayer had six catches for 32 yards in Week 1.

Starting cornerback Darien Porter was ruled out of the Chargers' game Friday with a foot injury he suffered in a Week 1 27-13 win over the Miami Dolphins. Rookie Zeke Masses played the final 10 plays of the game for Porter. Masses will likely start Sunday. Perhaps rookie Jermod McCoy will debut Sunday. He was active last week, but didn't play.
Also, No. 3 quarterback Aidan O'Connell is out because of a family matter.
For the Chargers, standout wide receiver Ladd McConkey is active. He was questionable with a ribs injury.
