There’s a lot going on at PSG this week as the club prepare for their final game before the international break, and with lots of contract extensions and Ballon d’Or talk distracting everyone from the actual action on the pitch.
On that front, there’s only one story that matters – Achraf Hakimi’s fitness. The dynamic right back came off the pitch before half time against Brest last week, and while the problem seems minor, there are big questions about whether he will be ready for this weekend.

The latest on his status comes from journalist Abdellah Boulma, who says PSG have indicated that Hakimi is continuing to train individually, and has yet to rejoin the team.
That surely puts his participation in Sunday’s game against Marseille in serious doubt. Luis Enrique will do all he can to get such a key player ready, but to go into it without having trained properly all week is a tall order. That’s especially true when Warren Zaire-Emery is such a trusted and reliable backup. Why take any risks this early in the season?
