NORMAL, Ill. (WMBD) -- Richwoods and Normal Community squared off in a highly anticipated matchup in flag football. The Knights entered play 6-1 while the Iron were 7-1. Richwoods struck first when Cici Robinson connected with Acosia Morris for the opening touchdown. Normal Community struck back quickly and scored the next three touchdowns to take a 21-6 lead into halftime. The Iron wouldn't let up in the second half and they took down the Knights 35-18.

Normal Community was also home in volleyball with the Iron hosting undefeated Morton. The Iron got off to a quick start in the first set, but the Potters wouldn't go away and they defeated the Iron in straight sets to improve to 2-0.
