Although Trevor Goosby played in the No. 4 Texas Longhorns’ 59-7 Week 1 win over the Texas State Bobcats, his status for the massive Week 2 matchup against the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes has been up in the air leading up to the contest. On Saturday, hours before kickoff, the program received good news regarding its star offensive lineman.

Reports indicate that the redshirt senior left tackle was cleared to play against the Buckeyes, according to Pete Thamel of ESPN. Goosby has been dealing with a bone bruise injury in his left knee since fall camp.

“Left tackle Trevor Goosby is back after that camp knee scare,” Thamel said. “He played 52 snaps last week against Texas State. He’s ready to roll.”
