CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. − There was an unfortunate scene here Friday night at Alumni Stadium as a Boston College player had to be taken off the field in an ambulance.

Linebacker Bodie Kahoun appeared to collide with the Rutgers ball carrier during a second-quarter play and he lay on the field for a long time before a cart and then an ambulance came out to take him off the field.
Boston College coach Bill O'Brien and Rutgers coach Greg Schiano spoke briefly before both teams took a knee as Kahoun was tended to.
Kahoun gave a thumbs up as he was placed into the ambulance, drawing a cheer from the crowd.
Boston College later posted on social media that "Boston College linebacker Bodie Kahoun has movement in all extremities and is being taken to a local hospital for further evaluation."
