STUARTS DRAFT — Stuarts Draft swept Waynesboro in Shenandoah District volleyball Thursday, Sept. 10. Draft won 25-12, 25-9, 25-12.

Addyson Dameron had 11 assists and five digs for the Cougars in the win. Hazel Seibert added five assists and an ace. Draft's Addy Coyner had seven kills, six digs and three aces, while Lily May had seven kills. Serenity Hamric finished with six aces and seven digs for the Cougars.
"It wasn't so much about stats tonight, but about communication," Stuarts Draft coach Jess DeWitt said. "Especially in this environment. Our home games haven't been as loud as they could be so we're making sure we're communicating on our end and bringing our own energy no matter what the score is and no matter what the gym environment is."
Ella Cox led Waynesboro with four kills and a pair of blocks. Bristol Slagle had seven digs for the Little Giants.
Fort Defiance over Rockbridge
Fort Defiance got 12 kills from Livia Clinedinst in a 25-14, 25-14, 25-19 win over Rockbridge County Sept. 10 in Shenandoah District volleyball.
Maddie Gale added 11 kills and Alexis Miller had 33 assists, seven digs and three aces for Fort Defiance. Abbi Bright had nine digs in the win.
Wilson Memorial beats Buffalo Gap
Wilson Memorial topped Buffalo Gap 16-25, 25-20, 25-14, 25-16 in Shenandoah District volleyball Sept. 10.
Bree Kindig had 31 digs and five aces for Wilson in the win. Maggie Parrott finished with 11 kills, and Estee Irving had 10 kills and 20 digs. Natalee Chandler had 19 assists and five aces while Harper Tibbs had seven kills.
Bailey Tribble had 10 kills and 14 digs for the Bison, while Brailyn Green had 18 digs. Avery Wheeler added 28 assists and six digs. Madison Botkin finished with six kills and 10 digs in the loss.
