Aryna Sabalenka moved another step closer to winning a three-peat at the 2026 US Open after an impressive comeback win to defeat Linda Noskova 7-6(1) 3-6 7-6(7).
Sabalenka enters her sixth consecutive semifinal at Flushing Meadows where she’ll face a familiar opponent, top-ranked American Jessica Pegula. The Belarusian star ended Pegula’s dreams of winning her first Grand Slam in 2024 and eliminated her in the semifinals last year.

While Sabalenka may have lost her World No. 1 ranking to Elena Rybakina, a position she held for 99 consecutive weeks, she’s keeping her eye on the main prize — a third consecutive title.
“Yes, I’ll be more than happy. I don’t mind. Three-peat sounds great,” she said of no longer being No. 1 but winning another Grand Slam in New York.
